The evening was not appropriate .fox Wile usual dip in the Lake for a refr- •sher, as the weather was a 'bit .aiily, so the Laports, with their great ability as entertainers, gave ,their company an evening of enjoy- ment. The family are natives of this parish, having left tb.erre some I years ago to snake their home in Windsor, where 11'1r. In• the early summer the Laportes decided to build a summer cottage for the family, so on the 16th of July a section built cottage from Toronto .was delivered on the gro- unds, and Ted !tells us with pride that 15 hours later, they were living in it, the work (being done by rive rnen from where the material came from. He also tells us that the following day Hydro was hooked up and a plumber on the job installed bath room with running water from a sand point well from the beach; in all it took six days for its completion. Mr. Laporte gives this information to the 'Herald and feel it almost a miracle the speed •of. it -all. NOTES—Mrs. Dan Bedard of Court right who spent a week visiting her sisters and other relatives, returned to her home on. Sunday last. •Mr and Mrs Wessing and :Gamily of Sarnia were visitors with the later's mother, Mrs. Josephine Du- chaxnne of this Blue Water Highway. Mr Aubert Ducharme of. Windsor returned to his -home on Monday last after spending a week's holidays with his parent, Mr and Mrs 11', Du- cfhanme e Mrs Virginia Denomme left on Sunday last to spend a few weeks in Courtright with her sister, Mrs .Dan Bedard and other relatives, Miss Marion Bedard and Miss Donna Ryder of London spent the week -end with Mr and Mrs. Leon Bedard.
