We are having what is considered one of the hotest summers m -many a day, and probably Sunday was the climax, when the mercury climbed up near the 100 mark. We were a bit curious just what it was- in the sun so we tried it out, and in a very short • time it climbed up to 111, the wood- en lawn chairs were so hot one co,ald hardly place a hand on them. But we did not try the traditional egg frying feat that some claim to have done. Some nice showers or rain have been going around us, but un- fortunately we did not ring in on this. It is very dry and farmers are busy cutting wheat which loot's an average crop. Celebrate Anniversary Over ninety guests gatnered at the summer home of Mr and Mrs. Albert Hess, to tonor thein on their 25th wedding anniversary.
