ager, who are moving in the Maass -
eau apartment vacated by Mr. and
Mrs. Reg. Risley, who have purchas-
ed the MoEachern property at the
south-east corner of town..

keenly your decision to retire from
teaching our ohillren. This gift is
not given because you have decided
to quit teaching but tbecause the sec-
tion are sorry to see you go." Mrs.
Rau made a fitting reply.
Many of those attending the social
evening were former pupils of the
guest of honour. These expressed
their regret that Mrs. Rau had: not
remained to teach their children who
would be starting to school in Sept-
ember, and would be the second gen-
eration during her teaching career.

Muss Anita Datars, bride elect, has
been honoured at .a numher of pre-
nutptialsocial events: --Miss Pauline
Halberer• and Mrs Russel Tiernan
were ,co--hostesse s at a miscellaneous
shower on Saturday evening. Miss
Katherine Kal'bf1eisch assisted in dis-
playing the trousseau and gifts after
which a dainty luncheon was served
by the hostesses. Mrs. 'L. Datars,
grandmother of the bride-ele c t,
poured tea. She was aleo honoured
with a kitchen shower by her bridge
club at the. home -of Miss Audrey
Seebach in Kitchener.
On June 29th, Mrs. IL Taylor,
mother of the groom, and rier dau-
ghter ,Shirley, • jointly entertained a
group of the bride's friends in her
honour at the "`Pines", Kitchener,
at a supper party. Miss Thelma
Totten- assisted with the games and
entertained. O.n, the following- day
Mists Datars was presented with kn
electric grill by the members of the
Teaching Staff at their annual picnic.
The "Y" -Club entertained her at a
slipper patty at the Castle Inn, Kit-
tten•et' and .presented her: with a
linen bvxidge set.
