Had 100th Anniversary
Mr and MrsC. L. Smith attended
the 100th Anniversary of St. James
Anglican church located on the Hur-
on Road, Wilmot Township on Sun-
day afteenoon, tat which the Right
Rev. G. N. Luxon, D.D. Bishop of
Huron was guest speaker. 100th an-
niversaries are a rare thing these
days and a hundred years back in
these parts is quite some time. The
church is located just opposite to the
Wilmet No. 5 School House where
your publisher. received his public
schooling and when you see a mis-
spelled word in our publication, we
often think of people saying won-
der when that .fellow went to school"
So this happens to be the place. A
large gathering took place and a
great get-together of old boys and
girls was the result, after the after-
noon service a large lawn social was
held on the spacious lawn ,o.i our
cousins, Mr and Mrs. Norman Roth,
near by.
