on Tuesday evenin_r at the town

The hall was, filled to ca,eacity with
ladies from the surrounding comm-
unity. The stage was beautifully de-
eorated with spring flowers. Tho
affair wa; eponsor. cl by the llensall
and Kippen Women& Institutes. The
electric renges and refs i gatoes were
displayed on the platform. Miss Ell-
ison pointed out the different meth-
ods of using a ref` gerator and the
electric range to the best advantage
and displayed some very tasty baking
as well as a full course meal. Var-
ious prizes were gii en during the
evening. As every attendance filed
out at the close of the evening's pro-
cedure, they were prevented a meas-
uring. cup, ibeing very gratcrni for
the same. The Drysdale'Hardwares.
Ltd., is to be .congratulated for the
splendid manner in which aIi was con
ducted.

St. Peter's CWL. was held in the
school room, Monday, March 31st.
Rev. Fr. Biourdeau opened the meet-
ing with prayer; roll call was taken
and the minutes as read were =opt-
ed. The various committees.gave their
on rep;,rts. The formation of `Brownies'
and `Guides' was discussed. Also the
"First Aid Course" to be given in
Zurich and attended by some or our•
