Returned from .Hospital
Mrs. Matilda MacKinnon returned
from Clinton Hospital after having
an operation on her right .thumb. We.
are pleased to report the injured
thumb is improving nicely.
Return From Florida
Mr and Mrs Seth Ammans have
returned home after a lovely motor
tour through the different States to
Florida with the former's cousin and
wife Mr and Mrs. Garber of Indiana,
being absent fir several weeks. We
are .pleased to hear they have :arrived
home safely.
Called on Zurich Friends
Rev. C. B. Heckendorn, of Elmira, a
former pastor of the local Evangelic-
al church, called on some of his Zur-
ich friends one day last •week. .He
brad been at Goderich, where his son
tPaul was taking part in the Midget
Hockey games, and between games
the Rev. ta,,k a run to Zurich.
Neighbours are pleased to see Mr.
Andrew Thiel, who resides at the
home of his son, Mr and Mrs. George
Thiel, taking his daily walk- rn the
lovely 'balmy weather recently, to the
office of his grandson, Mr and iiirs.
Earl Thiel,: where he meets many of
his fold friends, who are arr pleased
to have a chat with him.

and daughter Doris from Detroit;

Marion of London, attended the
wedding' -of the former's youngest son
Second -Lieut. Cyril Dennis Ducharme
to Miss Lillian Believe, of Montreal,
Que., on Saturday last. The trip by
motor was enjoyed with the fine
weather and lovely scenery on the
way to Montreal, fallowing the St.
Lawrence and on their way home to
the city of Ottawa. The bridal.
couple will reside in Picton.
Was Big Success
The first dance recital of the Zur-
ich School of Dancing was held last
Friday evening in the .tJonu unity
Centre with great success. 'Phe pup-
ils under the direction of Mrs. Karl
Decker did very well; there numbers
featured Ballets, Tap, acrobat and
Comic dances. At the conclusion of
the recital lunch was served to the
children. Mrs. Decker was then pre-
sented with a large boquet of spring
flowers by 'Miss Judy Willert from
the children of the school. Miss
Barbara Zimmer presented Mrs.
Decker with a lovely table lamp from
the mothers in appreciation for her
work with the children.
