mind is still keen. She spends most
of her time singing hymns both in
English and .German. Was born on
a farm near Baden. Her father, the
late+ Daniel Wing, had come to Can-
ada from Maryland. She was married
in 18(19 and with her husband moved
to New Dundee, later to New Hama
burg. Mrs. Zurbrii3 y is a first cous-

The Voice of Temperance
No one was surprised when the
vote in Peel County went against
the( Canada Temperance Act.. Many
were disappointed. The advance of
the liquor flood is caus for anxiety
to all who have the best interests of
the community at heart. No good
will come from the opening of liquor
outlets in Peel County. In Huron we
are fortunate in being far removed
from the big 'City; fortunate also in
being largely rural. From past exper-
ience we know that we are not safe
from political trickery.. On every
count "there is-•rieett for vigilance and
steadfastness on the part of every-
one who wants to keep this good
county and its people and its child-
ren free from the menace of the
'liquor traffic.--Advt..

HOCKEY NEWS
The Zurich Intermediates opened
their hockey season :on. Tuesday night
in Seaforth, with a victoily over the
Seaforth Juniors. The final score
was 8-6 for Zurich, and the locals
made a very impressive .showing on
the fans that attended. All in all,
it looks like .another successful hoc-
key season for Zurich.
