her home from London, last week,

home from London Hospital and is
getting along real well. Her many
friends wish her a speedy recovery.

'Mrs. Elizabeth Schneiker of Milv-
erton, Mrs. Emma Racey of London,
have returned to their homes after
enjoying a few weeks at the home of
their sister, .Mrs. John Brenner.
Mr and Mrs Gordon Kaiting from
Goderich were Sunday visitors at the
home ,af their father, Mr. Chris. Heist.
and sister, Mr and Mrs. Harry Hess.
Mr and Mrs. Ed. Brenner and
daughter Marion, Mr. Jack Hammer-
ly all of Kitchener were week -end
visitor at the home of the former's
mother, Mrs. Mary Brenner.
Mr and Mrs Charles Hay, Mr. Thos
Meyers motored to Streetsville on
Sunday to visit with the latter's
daughter, Mr and Mrs. Floyd Hope.
Mrs. Meyers, who had been visiting
there, returned home with them.
Attended Funeral
Mr and Mrs Charles Rau, Mrs.
Gus Roche, Mrs. Henry Rau, Mrs.
Nelson Ducharme attended the fun-
eral of Chikie, aged 3, only daugh-
ter of Mr and Mrs. Ted Rau in De-
troit last week.
Receives Fine
Goderich—Alfred Smith, of Hen-
sall, was fined $50 an costs, and his
license suspended for three months
by Magistrate D. E. Holmes. He
pleaded guilty to a charge of driving
while his ability to do so was impar -
ed by alcohol. A further charge of
leaving the scene of an accident wag
withdrawn.
Died at London
Samuel Thomson, of Stanleys Twp.
died in Victoria Hospital. London, on
Monday, Nov. 12th in his 78th year.
He was thorn in; Hay Twp. one mile -
south of Kippen on the old Thom-
son homestead, his wife Susan Tay-
lor Thomson predeceased him tour
years ago. Surviving are three sons,
and one daughter; a brother, R.bert
Thomson, Kippen; A sister, Mrs.
Hannah Workman, Hensall. Public
funeral services were held from the
Bonthron Funeral Home, Hensall, on
Wed. Nov. 14th at 2 pm. conducted
by Rev. W. Maines of Brucefield Un-
ited church, .interment was in Bairds
Cemetery. Brucefield.

Farm Forum
P.ah.,ion L'ne Club
Mr. Nicholson, C, -op representat-
ive from Pt. Elgin was guest speaker
when the Babylon Line Farm Forum
held their regular meeting. He was
introduced by Mrs. Ross Dick. He
spoke on the first four topics of the
forum searn. The president, Mr.
Oscar Greb spoke briefly thanking
114r. Nicholson.
Unique Forum
The Unique Forum met at the
hone of Mr and Mrs Clare Geiger
with 30 members present and two
visitors. :Mrs. Delbert Geiger led an
interesting' discus ion on 'Opportun-
ities fi;r Cultural Activities."' There
were various activities discus; ed that
would lead to an outlet for creative
talent such as rug craft, knitting,
quiltcraft, leathercraft for women.
The men could take pride in plowing
a straight furrow. We think everyone
should have a hobby. There has been
a great deal d ne in our community
to develop activities but we think
there should be more interest Fhown
by the people in the community. Mrs
Hy. Schilbe led the recreation. The
next meeting will be held at Mr and
Mrs. Morris Durand with Hear lflopp
leading the discussion on Education-
al oualit:e.for adults.Mre. Delbert
Geiger brought a report of the ern-
nual meeting of Huron County 'Farm
Forum. The meeting closed with
God Save The King and a delicious
lunch :served by the hostess.
WEDDING AT BAYFIELD

Doreen Elaine Denby, daughter of
Mr and Mrs J. W. Denby or St.
Thomas, betaine the bride of 'Ken-
neth Wilfred Brandon, wan of Harold
Noble Brandon and the late Mrs.
I3randn of Bayfield. The ceremony
was performed by the •pastor, Rev.
Peter Renner; the bride was given in
marriage t y her father, ivliss r^'vonne
Denby, Toronto was maid of honor;
Miss Audrey Brandon, eieter of the
gieoni, and ',Miss Ruth Wright were
bridesmaids. Glen (Brandon was his
brother's groomsman and the ushers
were lames Sage, St. Thomas and
i•Ielvin Greer, Hayfield. Mrs. Don
Kingsbury presided at the organ and
r'ayed traditional music. The recept-
ion was held in the .church parlours
for 65' guests. Later they tett c n a
honeymoon trip and on their re'urn
will reside in ;Hayfield.
