We.trust the weatherman will be kind and gentle that day, as good weather al- ways means so much for a good fair. The directors and officials have work- ed hard to make this a big success, and the public are invited to come out, leave your daily toils aside for a few hours and take in the local fair, and thereby do a patriotic duty towards your community. There will be plenty of doings and entertain- ment for the afternoon. The Dash- wood Citizens Band will liven things up with good music, the scheel chil- dren will have their parade following the Band, and so the afternoon will carry on with the judging of live- stock, etc., and there is the usual grand display in the show house. The Bridesmaids, Mrs. Bert Wig- gins, Mrs. Carole Campbell, Miss Marg Davidson, Miss Carole Ireland, wore ballerina length gowns in pow- der .blue, star ,studdied marquisette over taffeta, bisque bolero, queen Aisne collars, matching slippers and half bonnets of taffert covered with star studdied marquisette. They car- ried bo quets of blue chrysanthemums, talisman noses and gladioli. The flower girl, Miss Sherry Jane Younge, wore pink tagata with. mat- ching bonnet and carried a tiny rtoral spray. The best man was Allan Cam- pbe]l, brother of the groom and the ushers were Messrs. Bill Donne, Fred Hayward, Bert Wiggins and Neal Campbell. The reception of two - hundred guests was held at the en- chanting. new home and spacious gardens of iMr and Mrs. Lloyn Ire- land, aunt and uncle of the bride, Mrs. Harford McKinley received the guests, gowned in a full length Royal blue taille trimmed with french lace and a matching feather hat, Iter eersage was of pink rases, The St. Peter's, Lutheran Church, Zurich, celebrated her 90th Anniversary on Sunday, Peptember lcth. The theme .:,f the services was ,`Thanksgiving„ for the heavenly blessings that have been bestowed upon the congregation (luring her history. Guest speaker at the moaning service was Rev. A. G. ,Jacobi of Kitchener, and in the even- ing, Rev. " K. Knnuc, or Stratford, delivered the sermon. The church choir rendered special music for the occasion, and at the evening service Miss Paula Hansen. of Stratford was guest soloist. On Monday evening a congregat- ional supper, attended by over 300, was held in the Community Centre, with the' Ladies' Aid in charge. Pol- 1 owing + ol-lowing the supper, a program was presented in which were included the following numbers: Duet by Richard and Russel K1opp; Girls' chorus, Vir- ginia Deichert, M:ary Kropp, Kathryn hlopp, Arlene Haberer, Leona Fink - twiner, Carol Thiel; Quartette, Fred 1l:lb erer, Jack Haberer, Wiliiam S ungblut, Ron. Heimrich; Piano duet Mrs, J. Turkbeim, ;Marlene Wagner; Mine, Solo, Marilyn Haberer; Ac- cordi<an solo, Kathleen Hess. A number of motion pictures were shown.
