Fritz to the western Provinces. .The
card was written at Winnipeg and
stated they were having a most lovely

Mrs. Matilda MacKinnon of town
accompanied her son Dr. and Mrs.
Archie MacKinnon of Galt on a vac-
ation outing at Wasago Beach for
a few days, and enjoyed the outing
immensely.

motor trip to Boston, Mass. this week
where they will visit with the form-
er's daughter for a week. We wish
them a safe return.
Very dry weather is our experi-
ence at present, in fact it hasen't
rained in many weeks, the soil is just
burning up everything green. Rain
is badly needed for the pastures and
for fall wheat lands to be worked up
and which needs moisture for the
wheat to germinate when sown.
The next public holiday falls due
on Monday next, Labor Day, and a
public holiday. So places of business

bridegroom's father in a setting of
gladioli banked ibeneath an evergreen
arch. Miss Helen Nadiger played the
wedding music. Given in marriage
by her father, the bride wore a gown
of ':Chantilly lace and net fashioned
with bouffant skirt and long sleeves.
Her fingertip veil was held with a
headdress of white flowers and she
carried a bouquet of red roses and
carnations.
Miss Gertrude Wilkens, maid of
honor, wore pale green lace and net
and the bridesmaid, Miss Helen Matt-
hews, wore orchid lace and net.
Brude Eickmeier was best man and
Elton Ehgoetz and Ernest Wilkens
were ushers.
At thereception held at the par-
sonage, the bride's mother received
in a navy sheer dress with •pink ac-
cessories and the groom's mother al-
so chose navy for the wedding.
The bridal couple left on a trip to
Ottawa and IV5ontreal, the bride trav-
blue eling in a navy gahlvardine with sky
holtr., Leo and Mary, all n£ Kitchener accessories. O•their return they
