weather is delaying these operations.

visitors attended the Mennonite S, S.
Conference here on Sunday. Some

week -end guests with their friends,

Miss Jane Evans of Kincardine vis-
ited with Mr and Mrs Julius Thiel

Mr and Mrs A. Melick, and Mr.
Gladwin Melick of .Goderich, ;spent
the weekend at Michigan .where
attended the silver wedding anniv-
sary of Mr and Mrs. Edgar Geiger.
Mr and Mrs C. Pelford of London
visited at the latter's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Ferd Haberer over the
week -end.
Mrs. T. Etue of .Goderich visited
at the hum of her parents, Mr and
Mrs. Edumund Oesch. She accomp-
anied Mr. Etue home who, called on
friends in Zurich.
Master Roger .Gingerich has re-
turned home to his parents, Mr and
Mrs. Victor .Gingerich after spending
a few weeks at the home of his grand

Mr and Mrs Ralph Krueger of
,Hyde Park spent a few days over the
week -end at the home of the 'form-
er's mother, Mrs. E. G. Krueger, 14th
Con.
July First, Dominion Day was a
rather quiet day in town, as most of
the villagers,were away, some attend-
ing the races at London, and many
took to the lakeside resorts.
Mr. and Mrs. Napoleon Cantin of
Detroit, are holidaying in their fine
summer home in St. Joseph. Mr.
Cantin has recently been appointed
as crief munitions director for the
State of Michigan, Ns the U. S. A.
Federal Government.
Mr and Mrs. Edward Laporte, of
St. Clair, Mich., were visitors with
friends in this vicinity the past week.
Mrs. Laporte was the former, Anna
Cantin, of St. Joseph, while 'Mr. La-
porte who is a chemical engineer, is
a son of Mr and Mrs. Charles La-
porte, Drysdale.

mer and Albert Hess spent a few

Had Reunion
A very happy get-to-gether was
enjoyed by the descendants of the
late Mr and Mrs. Aanon Vincent,.
pioneers of Stephen Twp, who orig-
inally came from Pennsylvania, at
Sowett's
Grave,. .Bayfield on 'Satur-
day, June ;23rd. The family consrst-
ed of seven sons .and two daughters,
and almost evene branch of the fam-
ily were represented, there being 87
present at the gathering, coming
from Banytown, Mich., Toronto,' Kit-
chener, London, Grand Bend, Dash -
weed, Goderich, ,Belgrave, Blue vale,
Walton and Londesboro. This being
the .first re -union of the clan and a
great many being strangers. The af-
ternoon was spent 'tn getting acqu-
inted, social chats -and strolling aro-
und the lovely park. The eldest mem-
ber ,present was Mr. Henry Link of
Dashweod and the youngest, Gerald
Brener. little son of Mr and Mrs Jno
Brenner, Bluevale. Those coming the
greatest distance were Mr and Mrs.
Wm. Vincent, Mr and Mrs. G. Cum-
minge Mr and Mrs. A. Cummings of
Ti. arry town, Mith. It was decided to otr
hold a re -union next year at the same chestnut coal, and numerous
place on the second Saturday in June a"tides'
