EARLIER EARLIER
The Hydro Changeover from 25
cycles to 60 cycles, which we have
heard so -much about lately, is now
far ahead of schedule, and insted of
changing over early in September as
first planned, it will now be early in
July. The dates set for this district
are: Hensall June 5th to 7th; with
approximately 300 customers; Exet-
er June 11 to 20, 050 customers;
Zurich July 3 and 4th which falls
on Tuesday and Wednesday, 140 cus-
tomers; Dashwood .July llth, 150
customers. Between June 8 and
July there will be 18 "cutov ers" in
connection with areas served by the
Exeter Rural Operating Area, as fol-
lows: Exeter D.S. 900 customers;.
Dashwood D.S. 2160; Grand Bend
I). S. 1,000 customers.

The president, George Armstrong,
and Secretary Treasurer Dick Ether-
ington, officers and Directors of the
S. Huron Agric. Society are to be
congratulated upon the splendid .suc-
cess of the annual :Hensall Stock
Fair, one of the largest and best
fairs ever held, with one of the larg-
est attendances. Winners in the
school parade were: ist. S.S. 1, Tu
ckersmith; 2nd S.S. 4 Hibbert; 3rd,
S.S. 2.Hay, teacher Mrs. Koehler. 2
$5.00 free cash prizes for children
were won by Glen Grebb S.S. 6 Hay
and Suzanne Kyle, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Byron Kyle, Hensall. In
the baby contest with ,1:5 entries it
was niceto see Dr. J. W. Shaw of
Clinton, 90 in July, and who just
recently completed 60 years of pract-
ice in Clinton, and is still going
t3trong, acting- in the role of one baby
judge. Mrs. Harry McMillan, of
Seaforth, Mrs. Krueger, Clinton, and
Mrs. G. Walker, who resides on No.
4 Highway south of Hensall, were
the other judges, The winners were

and Mrs. Gordon Munn, Hensall; 2nd
Garry, son of Mr and Mrs. John Dietz
of Kippen; 3rd, Joyce, daughter .of
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Falcon; of R.R,

Judges for the Old Time Fiddlers
were Mrs. Geo. Hess, Hensall; Mrs.
Ross Broadfoot, Mrs. Jim Young, of
Kippen; Cliff Watson of Pop's Taxi,
Exeter, donated the 1st prize $8. in
cash. the winners were: 87 -year ol.d
Wsn. Hyde of Hensall, with ;his 57th
prize career, starting at the fair 34
years ago. Albert Hess of Zurich,
won the York Gilt Hog, valued at
$100. and donated by Elmer Web-
ster of Varna. Agricultural Repres-
entative Gordon Bennett introduced
four Scottish Junior Farmers recent-
ly arrived in Canada from Scotland,
who re visiting in Canada.. Chairman
Robert Saunders, of the Ont. Hydro
Electric Power Com., declared the
Official. opening. Ho was introduced

in competition in the arena building
where judging continued all day. The
