Gaekstetter ,of Hay Twp., near Kip -
pen, a slaughter (Lynn Laree), a -sis-
ter for Gail Ann.
OBITUARY
LATE ALEX. FOSTER
Alexander Foster, 59 of William et.
London, was found dead on Sunday
:at the rear •of the residence of his
son, Willis A. Foster. He collapsed
at the rear of the house and was not
found for some time. Mr. Foster who
is a native of Zurich, and a resident
here till he moved to London 16.
years ago, had been a contractor all
his lifetime. Surviving are his wife,
formerly Laura Sieman; three sons,
Flo3'd, Harry and Willis of London;
four daughters, (Helen) Mrs. Jeff-
Dickerson, Detroit; (Ruth) Mrs. Ed-
ward- Deck, London; (Audrey) Mrs.
James McPherson, Vancouver; - sand
Miss Elaine Foster at home; two sis-
ters, Mrs. Annie Battler and Mrs.
Matilda Diedrich,. both of Zurich, 3
brothers, Louis Foster of MitcJhener;
Alphonsus, Hensall ; and Albert of
Biggar, Sask. The body rested at
the Killingsworth Funeral Home,
London till Tuesday when requiem
high mass was sung at 9 a.m. at St.
Peter's Cathedrel. Burial was in Mt.
Pleasant cemetery.
Late Nelson Elie Ducharme
There passed away at St. Joseph's
Hospital, London, on _Monday May
28th, 1951 Nelson Elie Ducharme, be-
loved husband of Irene Rau in his
40th. year. The deceased was well
known in the community being a son
of the late Joseph Ducharme Drys-
dale, and was a resident there all
his lifetime, a member of the Holy
Name Society, St. Peter's church,
took ill last October, and was for the
last ten days in the hospital. Regard-
less of what medical science could do
for him all was of no avail. Surviv-
ing 'besides his mother and wife are
threo sons, Clarence, Anthony and
Richard; 3 daughter:y. Iletty Ann,
Agnes, Edna; six brothers, Alfred of
Farmington, Mich; Joseph, Maymont,
Sask; 'Peter of Stanley, Delmar of
Detroit; Lawrence of Detroit and al-
so.‘/Villard; five .sisters, Mr;. Leon
Bedard, Mr,. Ed. Corriveau of the B.
W. Highway; :tIrs. Elmer Shirky, of
Marine City, ]Mich; Mrs. Rudolph
Etue, Seaforth; Mrs. Anthony Mass,
Goderich. The remains are ro rmg
at his late home, Drysdale until
Thursday,, May 31st when Requiem

Many attended the fine Religious
pictures shown at the Community
Centre on,; Monday evening, sponsor-
ed by St. -Boniface R. C. Church. The
title of t1I)ie picture was "Upon This
Rock" and: was one of the finest pro-
ductions '4f the Life of Christ. It
was indeed an educational and spir-
itual uplifting picture, and will long
be weinen;}iered by the large gather-
ing that *re present to see it.
PUPILS PRESENT CONCERT
Nearly00 people attended the
Hay Twp;` School Area Concert put
on by the,•pupils last Friday night in
the Con punityi Centre here. There
were nearly 300 pupils of the 10- sch-
ools present and was under the dir-
ection of Lawrence Wein, Exeter,and
Douglas Gill, Grand Bend, the two
music instructors. Victor Dinnin,
principal of the Zurich School was the
chairman:; The programin which was
of a mixed variety, was well receiv-
ed. The Proceeds will go towards the
educationl: purposes.

eral other members had a very enjoy-
able time at Etimvilie on Tuesday,
where they attended the District
meeting held in the United Church.
A delicious dinner being served in
the basement. The former, Mrs.
Meyers, will continue to visit the
Lake Side and St. Marys Branches
before" returning home.
CENSUS ENUMERATORS
The four days instructions under
Mr. Dennis Bedard of town, who re-
ceived his tuition at London, was held
in the local town hall last week' and
everybody is now all set ready to go.

First Game Tie
One of the tightest games of base-

A lovely new softball diamond has
