With the recent warmer weather,
and the fine rains Tuesday things
are looking most wonderful, farmers
crops do spring up rapidly and with
continued good weather we will be
on prospects for a big bumper crop.

Piano Recital
The pupils of Miss Ellen 'M. Love
A.R.C.T, gave a very successful piano
Recital in the Community Centre on
Tuesday evening. Almost everyone
gave their numbers without the
music sheets before them, praying
from memory, to a well attended
audience. Congratulations to Miss
Love and her fine group of pupils for
their splendid talent which they
.brought before the public.
Farku Forums and Town Organize
Softball
A softball group has been organ-
ized with two Farm Forums 'and a
team from Zurich` Gaines will be
played every Monday night, com-
mencing at 7.30 p.m. The first game
will be played next Monday, May

two Forum Teams,

and will be either at the local school
grounds or at the fail -grounds. A
new softball diamond is going to be
built at the Zurich School and if it
ns ready the garne will be played
there. The Ladies softball' team
will also play all their games at the
school grounds this season. The
schedule has not been drawn up as
yet, but is expected to start in about
one week.

C. W. L. Meet
The regular monthly meeting of
the St. Peter's C. W. L. was held at
the home of Mrs. Garfield Denomme
Tuesday, May lst. The meeting 'op-
ened with prayer led by Mrs, Remi.
Denomme. The minutes as read
were adopted. On the suggestion of
Father Bourdeau it was decided to
adopt. a mission in Northern Ontario,
and donations of clothing, old Xmas.

be gladly accepted. Mrs. M. Dur-

reported on a farewell party which
was given at Gelinas. We regret
