And by-the-way-Apri.l. 30th is the dead- line for making out your1950 In- come papers. If you neglect it may be too !bad for you. Off to Conference Rev. H. E. Roppel, pastor of the Evangelical U. B. church of town, and A. Melick, layman, left early in the week for Pembroke where they will attend the annual sessions of the Canada 'Conference of that de- nomination. Thislbeing the second time the Conference is being held in the Ottawa Valley district, it is a- bout 400 miles from here, and takes a good day's motoring to get there.
