Bend's Status Parley Topic Although the resort community of Grand Bend will be officially incorp- orated as a Village on May 14, it is still by no means certain which co- unty the new village will be located in. At present the Police Village straddles the county line, but when it is incorporated it must move tet - 1 ally- into one county or the other. l Under the recent incorporation by - recent incorporation by-law passed by Larnbton County* the 850 perm- anent residents and the $10,000,000 assessment will be taken over by Lanmbton County. Huron. County ,however has strenously opposed this, 'arguing that mote than half the as- sessment is on the Huron side of the line. A large number of residents, on the other hand specify in their orig- inal petition they wanted to be in- t corporated in Larnbton. They argue that the village must expand south- wards into this county because a hugs private estate prevents its gro- wth to the north. They also seek re- lief from The Canada Temperance • Act which prevails in Huron County. • Co -Op. FEEDS ARE YOUR BEST BUY !
