Welcome Easter
Teachers and scholars are having
a whole week's holidays this week, its
Easter week, and breaks up the con-
tinuous grind from Jan. 1st, to June
31st, with this week's relaxation.
Entertained at Shower
Miss Pauline Haberer was hostess
at a miscellaneous shower held at
the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs
Ted. Haberer on Saturday evening,
for Miss Betty Mousseau, Reg. N.,
(bride elect). A. lovely time was en-
joyed and useful gifts were received.

the kindness -shown her.
DAYLIGHT TIME
Daylight saving time will go into
effect in Clinton at Dam a.m., Sun-
day, April 29, and will remain in
effect for five months, expiring- at
112.01 a.m., Sunday, September 80,
the Town Council decided at its
March meeting recently.
PASSES MUSIC EXAMS.
Sixteen -year-old Nancy Tiernan of
Dashwood recently passed the piano
section of A.W.C,M. -examination
with first class honours. A few weeks
ago she passed the history test with
first class honours, attaining a mark
of 96. Nancy is one of the youtig-
est to apply for her A.W.C.M. at the
University of Western Ontario,

At the Farwell Nursing Horne, in
Zurich on March 24th, to Mr. and
Mrs Lawrence Bedard a son (Aubrey
Mark), a brother to Larry,
ed to one month in jail, and •the liq-
uor seized ordered destroyed by Mag.
D. E. Holmes, K.C.. It was his second
conviction Acharge of bringing liq-
uor into Huron County was with-
drawn. Decision . was reserved for 2
weeks on a careless driving charge
against Morley Linington, Goderich,
who pleaded' guilty on a charge of
not having an operator's permit. The
charges rose out of an accident in
Clinton. Lorne Kirk, Hay Twp. was
sentenced to 7 days in jail after his
conviction on a drunk driving charge
For driving his car while his license
was suspended he was fined $25 and
costs and his car impounded for three
