ZURICH HERALD Three Weeks Grace
The Department of Highways at
Toronto have given auto owners
three weeks' more grace to purchase
their new !1951 license, or up to
March 20th, which is the deadline.
After that date a penalty will be
issued to anyone displaying the old
markers, Our .good neighbours to•
the west of us, in Michigan, are not
so fortunate, as there March lst is
the deadline.
Many Attend Games
Many villagers attended the hock-
ey matches playoffs at Goderich on
Friday night and at Seaforth on
Monday night on rinks where there
is artifical freezing plants. On Mon-
day evening about 900 people atten-
ded at Seaforth, claimed iby far the
largest crowd ever to attend a game
in that new and spacious arena. Peo-
ple of this district surety take their
hockey seriously and give the phay-
ers all the support they can,
nesday.

Mr and Mrs. Gid. Koehler motored
to Bayfield on Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Clayton Pfile of Dashwood,
made a business call in town on Wed -

itor at the home of Mr and Mrs.
Hilton Truemner.
Mr and Mrs. Smale of London,
spent the week -end here with their
sister, Mr and Mrs. Carl Thiel and
other relatives and friends.

Mr. Charles Fritz of town as a
patient at Clinton Public Hospital.

Attended Funeral
Rev. and Mrs. H. E. Roppel at-
tended the funeral of Mrs Roppel's
sister near Belleville, this week. We
extend :sympathy to the bereft.
Mr. VanAtta of Port Huron was
a•week-end visitor at the home of Mr
and Mrs. William O'Brien. Mrs. Van
Atta,' who had been visiting here for
a week or so, returning with her
husband.
Mr and Mrs. George Ducharnie

and Mrs. Cullen Russell and child-
ren of Ailsa Craig; iPt. Cyril Duch-
arine of. Barryfield (the latter who
will be transferred to IMantreal, has
been successful in passing all his
