Merner gave a short talk do Farm

special guest, Mr. Albert Kalbfleisch
spoke encouraging words for our
Forums and gave a ;brief message on
World Affairs. The next meeting will
be held at the home of Mr and Mrs
Blake Horner on March 5th with
Miss Nola .Krueger as discussion

ulum i7: Improvea for Rural Schools'
Mss. 'Clare Geiger then took charge
of recreation after which a delicious
lunch was served. •
HOCKEY NEWS
. .Midgets Win Easily
Last Thursday evening the Zurich
Midgets Hockey Team, sponsored by
the Lions Club, were up at Brussels
and crossed sticks with the lade of
that Village, and had a real good
outing as well. as coming home with
another game tucked away in their
string of wins. Beating the Brus-
sels 'b �✓.the score of 15-5. The Zurich
Midgets 'sure -can be proud of the fine
showing they are making, and really
Saxe coming through with high scor-
ing.
..Take Gam.e from Dashwood
Last F ridsay evening at the Arena
at Goderich, in a playoff game, Zur-
ich !beat ,Dashwood by the score of
6'-5; this was the third game of the
bee three n five in the semifinals
for. group• championship in the Inter-
mediate 113, competition. The locals
took; a •4,1 lead in the first period
and were never behind through the
game. With only ten minutes to
play the score stood 8-2, but in those
few minutes with hard playing, the
sharpshooter, for Dashwood, Jimmy
Harter, tallied three times. Ford,
Gignac and Quesnel paced the Zurich
scoring 2 goals each, singles counters
going to Deslauriers and Doug O'-
Brien. Jimmy Hayter for Dashwood
being highest scorer with four.
Zurich Wins Semifinal
By defeating Dashwood to the
score of 5-1 at the Seaforth Areiu
on Monday evening, Zurich now is
ready for the final Group playoffs.
This series went four games, Dash-
wood taking one and Zurich the oth-
er three. Just who will come out on
top with Hensall and Lucan remains
to be sten. Hensall won Tuesday ev-
ening from Lucan 6-1. and each team
has won two games, another game
