Is calling for Tenders to spray
all the cattle in Hay Township, ac-
cording to "The Watible-Fly Con-
trol Act 11949", which is incorporated
in a By-law of the Township. Person
tendering to supply sprayer only
and men to operate the unit.

Applications for Inspector to sup-
ervise the spraying of the Cattle in
Hay Township, sprayed according to
The Warble -Fly Control Act 1949.
Inspector to collect payment for

Mrs. Chris. Haist spent a day at
the home of her daughter, Mr, and
Mrs. Gordon Kaitting at Goderich,
last week.
At the Farwell Nursing Home, in
Zurich, on Friday, February 16th, to
Mr. and Mrs. -Clare Bedard of Zur-
ich, a daughter.
Mr and Mrs Alvin Gingerich and
son Daviel spent a few days in St.
Jacobs -at the hone of their parents.
who held a farm .sale on Wednesday.
After disposing of the farm a few
weeks ago.

and daughter Donna; Mr and Mrs.
Carl Steinbach and two sons of Lon-
don, were Sunday visitors with their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henriy Stein-
bach of town.
Returned Home
Mr. and Mrs. 'Theodore Haberer
have returned home from a most ple-
asant trip to Florida which they
traveled from one end to the other,
also visited relatives. Around '5,000
miles were covered on this sight see-
ing tour, without a mishap. One sure
has lots to be thankful for. Pie are
pleased to have them return home
safely.
A GRAND TIME
The pupils of Zurich Public School
had an enjoyable time at their Val-
entine Party 'on. February fourteenth.
All brought their lunch and ate din-
ner together. After 'dinner the girls
and boys passed out valentines to
each other. Later they cleaned up
and went to the Zurich Arena where
they enjoyed a Skating Party. We
are all positive they had a grand
time that d.aly. — Composed by Miss

ibh,. spent a very pleasant time at
the home of the former's parents, Mr
and Mrs. Samuel Hey, at Blake on
Sunday, in celebrating Mr. Hey's
64th :birthday. We wish him many
more happy birthdays.

On Saturday evening the Womens'
Institutes of the various district
branches held a successful program
in the town hill, Zurich. :Mrs. T. M.
Meyers, introduced the local presi-
dent, Mrs. G. Toche, who after a
few fitting remarks, introduced Mrs.
James Kirkland. of Hurondale, presi-
dent. A short ,sing song was held
by .1VIrs. Milton McAdams, who then
called on the presidents and secret -
ries of '' - ' arioua branches to the
platform 'W.. -tare they were presnted
with a coursage !by Mrs. David Mey-
ers and iiVIrs. H. Rose. The piano
duett given by Mrs. Freeman Mor
lock and Mrs. Emery Fahner of Cre-
diton, was well rendered; Mrs. Earl
Mitchell of Hurondale, ;ga'e a hum-
orous reading on "The White Ankle
Sock ;" Miss Lewis, Director of the
W. I. Branch, !Home Economics Ser-
vice of Ontario, spoke words ••of en-
couragement of the fine work that
Miss B. Bryan, who is a graduateof
Varsity University, Toronto, and.:the
splendid work that her students had

conquered with hand craftshipetc.
She also visited several different
bountries such as England, Northern
Ireland, Scotland, Holland, France,
Denmark, Belgian, Germany, and
other countries and gave a fine talk
and colored slides of these splendid
countries and their fine progress and
hospitality, Miss A. Spenser of Tor-
onto, gave a few remarks of the
project that the craft work shop was
progressing. A vocal duett by Mrs.
David (Meyers and Mrs. H. Rose, was
enjoyed by all, with Mrs. Milton
Oesch at the piano. Mrs. Howard
Desjardine of Grand Bend, gave
very humorous reading "How W
Hunted a Mouse." Much laughter wa
aroused. with this excitement; Mrs
Chapman of Kippen also gave a read
ing; Mrs. Gaiser of Crediton, a read
ing; Mrs. T. M. Meyers of Zurich .
humorous reading, "Jacob Strauss"
Miss Ruth Skinner of Elimville gav
"Thanks" giving reminders; 'Mrs

GRAVEL TENDER: The Town-
ship of Hay is calling for tenders
for hauling and crushing 6000 cu.
yards of gravel for 1951. This grav-
el to be taken from the McLean pit,
east of Hensall. Tenders call for
price of crushing and also separate
price for hauling on flat rate any-
where in the Township. Half of
amount to be hauled during month
of May, remainder in .September.
