The Rev. J.G. Crosby, pastor of Trinity -Evangelical U.B. -Church, conducted services,and burial was made in. the Evangelical cemetery Mr . 'Brechtel • suffered a broken hip in a fall, 1951 and has been an invalid since. He was born in 1864 in Bavaria and came to Can- ada when he was 16. He was united in marriage with Miss Katherine Heide at Zurich, Ontario'. She was also born in Germany. Following their bthey moved to a farm. near Ow- endale where they farmed for 28 years, retiring they moved to Sebe- waing. Mns. Brechtel died in 1838.
