on 'Saturday evening, Sept. 29th, we
will be turning our :clocks back one
hour and we will pick up the extra
hour we lost last spring. Regardless
of where we shift the hands of the
'clock, there is just so much daylight
available, se. what we think we gain
in the morning we loose in the even-
ing, so what have you. We have had
a lot of dark, cloudy weather with

an very little of what one. could
call real summer weather. But if
nothing worse crops up we shall be
able to survive, and to most of us
We can honestly say "Providence
was good to us."
FAIR WEEK
Next week as well as this is Fall
Fair week, and most of the local
fairs are being held at this time.
Saturday saw the windup of the Wes-
tern Fair at London, and with the
unfavourable and unseasonable wea-
ther for this time of year, and when
everything is totalled up they find a
shortage in .attendance for the week
sof; some- 60,930, which is a big item
that has .to, be made up in ,some way
or; another. When the weather is
rainy, well it is not fit to go and then
when its a nice day, well the farm-
er's who are three weeks .behind with
tbl.eir harvest, are- busy getting in
tl'e season's crops. However, we
hoe by next Tuesday when the an-
ni a1 Fair is ,being held in Zurich, if
-will be a nice • day and farmers
will: not, be tao' busy and- can one
out to enjoy the afternoon at the
rural Township Fair• The Officials
have put forth every effort to maks
the ,Zurich Fair as attractive as pos-
sible and deserve your patronage.So
get out the car and load up the faun-
ly or hired help, or better still the
neighbours and take a few hours or
and make a big crowd at the 1956
Zurich Fall Fair. As we have pat -
r
rsonized the big doings at the Cern
ennial a few ,months ago, so- let us
iso patronize this annual event.
