Mr. William, J. Hess, who has ser-
ved as an apprentice with the K. R.
Westlake Undertaking in Zurich, has
been successful in passing his first
year exams at the Canadian School
of Embalming, Toronto and is now
employed with the D. J. Robb Fun-
eral Home, at Sarnia.

auto on a trip to the Canada West,
and intend to visit at Calgary, and
Edmonton, Alb, and other places of
interest. The latter will visit their.
son Gordon at Calgary. They re
going by way of the Canada Trans-
Contential Highway, returning by the
U.S.A. where they will visit at Pig-
eon. Mich, and attend a wedding of
Mr. Melitek'+s granddaughter. We
wish them a safe return,

SURPRISE SHOWER •
.On Monday evening 30 relatives
and friends gathered at the home of
Mrs. Lorne Rader to honorMiss
Doreen So'pha, bride elect with a
miscellaneous shower.
Doreen 'eanip]etely taken by sur-
prise sat in a decorated 'chair under
an arch of streamers. A mockwedding wee performed and very
much enjoyed by all.
The address was reed by Mrs.
Lorne Rader and gifts were present-
ed in, a decorated wagon by little
Marlens .Rader. The 'bride thanked
everyone for the useful 'gifts. They
then joined in singing 'Poeshe's ..a
j,o]Iy I ood fellow" A few games of
bingo was then played after which
lunch was served.
