CHILD HIT BY AUTO
On 'Saturday afternoon. while Mrs
Elroy Desjardine of ,Zurich was strol-
ling along Dundee Street, London,
near the Odeon Theatre with her
two children, all golf a sudden Sandra
who is live,vsaw her aunt across the
Street on the sidewalk and in her
enthusiasm took her hand away from
her niotl•ieer's and started across the
street, first looking for traffic from
one way, -hut unfortunately did not
look' the other way, with the result,
she was knocked 'down by a passing
auto, although going only about 20
m.p.hr. But it was still too fast to
be kn•acked down without being in-
jured, Sandra was 'rushed Do Vict-
oria Hospital where• ,she is still on
Observation, but it is to be toped

return to her home and be none the
worse for her unfortunate mishap.

In St. Boniface R. C. Church, Zur-
ich, Rev. Fr. Monighan officiated at
the double ring marriage ceremony
of Mary Catherine Meidinger, dau-
ghter of Mr and Mrs. Alfred i4ieid-
iner, to Gerard Joseph Ducnarme,
son of Mr and Mrs. Louis Ducharme.
The organist was Miss Cecilia
Denomme and Mise. Patricia Denom-
me and :Miss Yvonne Ducharrae sang
in duet..
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a :floor length bouf-
fant gown of French and nylon net
over slipper satin and featured a
bodice with a high neckline and lily
point 'sleeves. Her skirt fell in tiers
oaf lace and pleated net. Her anger
tip veil of illusion IAA was heed to a
tiara encrusted with sequin, and
pearls, and he carried a •cascade of
red doses with streamers of white
baby mums.
- Ylliss Martha Meidinger was Maid
of honor for her sister and Annete
Ducharme, sister of the groom, was
bridesmaid. The iMaicl of honor wore
a .ballerina length strapless dress of
yellow lace and net over taffeta with
matching boleria, mittens and head-
ress and carried a bouquet of mauve
feathered .carnations. The brides-
maid was gowned identical ihr aqua
lace and net, and carried yellow fen-
hered eyed carnations.
Donald Ducharme of London, was
roomsmau for his brother and the
shers were Stephen and Ivan Mei-
inger and Eugene Ducharme.
Fer the dinner at the Dominion
-louse the bride's . mother wore a
urquoise lace dress with pink and
vhite accessorihs, and a icorsage of
ink rose. The groom's mother
hose a British tan dress and aoees-
eries with a blue duster coat and a
orsage of ph* roses. A buffet sup-
er was served 'at the home of the
ride's pared ts.
