Schnurr, of Mild- may, on Wednesday, June 6th. Mr. and Mrs Schnurr attended the ser- vice at the Evangelical U.B. church in Zurich, on May 1210th and were guests at the home of Rev. and Mrs A. iM. Amacher. WE CONGRATULATE THEM! We join the many friends of Zur- i'ch and vicinity in extending con- gratulations to Mr and Mrs William O'Brien of town in the celebration of their diamond wedding anniversary ion Sunday June 3rd, 1956. Very ,seldoan is a couple honored to cele- brate this event, in fact not too many have the pr•i`vilege of celebrat- ing the fiftieth anniversary, and we can only say it is a special privilege by Providence. And. this genial ,couple of sixty -years ago, are well worthy of this event. Fortunately the groom's brother, John, from the Can- adian. (West and who was best man at the weddiing, was present for the occasion. Mr. O'Brien is the son of the late Mr and Mrs Roswell O'Brien of the Blue Water Highway, (Sauhle Line) at that time, and the couple farmed there kir two years and later Mr. O'Brien was manager of a pro- duce business in Zurich for 27 years He still enjoys hunting and fishing, and seldi:,m misses a hockey or ball game in the vicinity. The cou.pl.e at- tend Zurich Evangelical U. B. church. There are two sons living, Lloyd and Leroy, and a daughter, Miss Olive, who teaches school here. The boys are also in business in town. The many friends who visited them on Sunday of whom Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Phycle of Exeter were among them, wished the happy -couple many more years of good health and happiness.
