HAD INTERESTING MEETING
Last Wednesday . evening in the
Zurich Ttiwn Hall a very interesting
meeting took place when the Zurich
Chamber of Commerce had invited
the Hensall Chamber, Reeves and
officials of the various surrounding
municipalities in a joint meeting
with our local Mr. Thomas
Pryde in the interest of urging- the
Department of Highways to improve
the No. 84 Highway, known as the
Zurichr'Road, and bring the same tip
to standard Provincial highways. Mr
Pryde explained how he had tried
to encourage the Department to have
this done the past few years, and he
has now the promise, that it will be
done within the next; few years which
is a big encouragement. A resolut-
ion orae drawn up giving a report of
this meeting and. same will be sent
to Mr, Allan, Mi'nister of Highways.
Realizing that this highway does not
lead directly to any big centres, but
it is badly needed for the local pop-
ulatI»n. sti .good road to go to 'lsonl,
from. market. We hope that withari
