Centennial News
Local Musicians Donate 'Service—
The dance held in the Arena on
Monday evening was a :grand success.
This dance was the opening event on
a fund raieing caranaigie to start the
Centennial ball rolling.' The local
Melody Masters orchestra gave their
time freer* and it was accepted with
much thanks and our pride in them
for their b.generous help; Financially
the dance, which was very well at-,
tended, was a success largery so be-
cause of the free time by the orches-
tra and we understand that the wren:
board intends to donate the use of
the Community Centre, Another such
dance is to be held •in the very near
future with Desjardine's Orchestra
present. By attendilng. you will be
ppartrng the Centennial as well as
having an enjoyable evening. •
The Finance Committee is desirous
of a strafing pat on the beck. They
have held two meetings so far, org-
anized this dance, and spent tune
soliciting .financial gild. The funds
they sure are needed at once to
begin the advertising and the invit-
