He was a son of • the late Robert R. Johnston and Anna Happel. For several years he was in the meat market business here and in Hensall.. In 1920 he bought the Dominion Hotel here which he oprler•ated until 1945 when his son, Ron piirchased 'it. Living since in retirement. Surviving is his Wife, the former `lIelvina Koehler, a son, Ross; Zurich- and a daughter Airs. E. Gemming, of. ,.Rochester, N.Y.; two !brothers, Wm. S. Johnst3n, Zurich and Orland of Montreal, and two sisters, Mrs. Mat- il'da MacKinnon and Mrs. Albert i Kalbfleisch, both of Zurich. A sister i Victoria, :predeceased in 1918. 1 A private service was held at the Westlake Funeral Horne, followed by a public service in St. Peter's Lutheran church, Tuesday afternoon.
