who spent a fear weeks with his sis-
ter at Thorndale and brother at God-
erich, has returned to [his home.

hockey match at Lucan on Friday
evening when the Zurich Flyers pla-
yed the Lucan Irish.

a fractured ankle, as a result by be-
ing kicked by a eow while on the
farm of Mr. Arnold Merner, when
Robert was milking the cow, likely
being a stranger the cow became ex-
cited and let go, with the unfortunate
and painful result for Robert. •

A large delegation of St. Peter'S
Lutheran .church motored to Strat-
ford on Friday evening where a mass
Rally was participated in the inter-
ests of the large Evangelistic Miss-
ionary campaign being carried on by
,L! that church organization. The big
rally was held in the spacious Knox
gpPresbyterian church and was attend-
ed by the 'various 'churches in the
Stratford District.

Things have been kinda tougt on
the Zurich Flyers the past week as
they lost the three games they en-
gaged in. They played good hoelsey,
but just not quite good enough to
win. Last- Wednesday, 18th at Zur-
ich they lost to those tough Ilderton
however does not give justice to the
Wildcats by a score of 6-1. 'The score
Flyers as they •played hard, but the
backchecking those fellows from the
south have is hard to iovercome. Jack
Muir collected the lone Zurich goal.
Irish Win 10-4 •
Lacan. on Friday Jan. 20 the
Lucan Irish defeated the Zurich Fly-
ers in a hard fought game by the
score of 10-4. Fred Revington with
three .goals and three assists had a
big night for the winners, while Don -
Hess bagged two to star for Zurich.
Zurich Bows to Irish
At Zurich on Monday eve. 23rd,
the Flyers lost to the powerful Irish
on the Znrich arena in a very close
and hard played game. Steve Storey
led the winners with four goals. Doig
led Zurich with two goals, 'Gignac,

NEW PRESIDENT
At Hensall on. January 22nd El-
mer Webster was elected president of
the South Huron Agricultural Society
at the annual meeting.. Vice-presid-
ent is Robert McGregor and secretary
treasurer, A. W. Kerslake. The an-
nual spring show was scheduled for
June 1st. The secy-treas. revealed
the Feeder 'Calf Club will be respons-
ible for raising 50 calves which will
lbe.shown and auctioned at the :ihow.
