Farm work is mostly confined to

Huron County again led Ontario
,in the production of mixed grain
and barley, 'provincial figures on crop
production. or 1955 reveal. The co-
unty :placed fifth, in the production
of hay and 'clover, eighth in oats,
buckwheat and corn for shelling; 10,
in corn for fodder and ,114th in fall
wheat.; The figures compiled, by the
Ontario Dept. of Agriculture show
field crop production. 'in all of the
provinees 54 counties.
HAD REUNION
On 'Sunday, January lst, the Webb
family held their ,annual New Year's
reunion at the home of • 'Mr. and
Mrs. Max. Turnbull, of the Blue
Water Highway, a few miles South
of St. 'Joseph, when 56 out of 70 of
the, Webb clan sat down to a family
dinner. Relatives were present from
Detroit, Port Huron, Parkhill, Gre-
anway, Crediton, Dashwood, Thed-
ford, Zurich and Linwood. The af-
ternoon was spent in carol singing,
with Mr. D;wayne McClinchey,
.of Petrolia ;School, as pianist,
after which the children gave a pro-
gram of their Christmas recreations
and songs.

over Blackwell in a WOAA Big 8

Mrs. Joseph Gelinas
Requiem High Mass for Mrs. Jos-
eph Gelinas, 69, who died at her
Phone 421 EXETER January 4th, 1956
home in Zuribh on
was sung Saturday 10th a.m., in St.
Boniface R. C. Church, Zurich. In-
terment was made in St. Peter's ce-
metery, St. Joseph. She was the
former •Marie Denomme and came
to Zurich with her husband a few
years ago, having farmed for many
year on the Goshen line, north of
here.
Surviving are four sons, Harvey
Claude and Arthur, London; Mozart,
Stanley Township; five daughters,
Mrs. Dennis Corriveau, Sebringville;
Mrs. Clarence Tiede and Mrs. A. G.
Tiede, London; Mrs. Clement Mc-
Cann and Mrs. Earl (Yvonne) Diet-
rich, Stephen Township.

LATE JOHN F. MORITZ
Had Been Resident of Cavalier
Vicinity Since 1888.
Final rites were set for 2 p.m., on
Thursday, January 5th, 1956 at the
Evangelical U.B. church in Cavalier,
N. D., with Rev. K. K. Koth officiat-
ing, for John Frederick Moritz, Cav-
alier, 85, who died Jan. 3rd in the
Memorial hospital there. His health
had been failing about a year and a
half.
Born Oct. 5, 1 8 7 0, at Zurich,. Ont.
a son of Johannes and Johanna
,Morikz, he went to Pembina county
in 18818, first stopping at Cavalier.
He had resided in the vicinity until
his death. He farmed for a number
of years east of Cavalier, Mr. Moritz
was married to Alice Trimmer on
June 20, 1i917, at Zurich. She died
in 1918. The 'couple had no children
Surviving of Mr. Moritz includes
a brother, Alfred Moritz, Guelph,
Ont., nine nephews and eight nieces.
His parents, three sisters and two
brothers also predeceased him in
death. Mr. Moritz was a member of
the Cavalier Evangelical U.11. church
which he 'Served as janil•or for many
years. The remains were brolip.ht,
to Zurich for burial from the West-
lake Funeral Home on Sunday after-,
noon, with Rev. !H. E. Ronne? ot
Zurich Offlciating. Intern) e n t was
made in the Goshen line Dashwood
Evangelical cemetery.
Pall bearers for the late John F.
Moritz on Sunday were: Lorne Ra-
der, Harold Rader, Whitney Drok-
enshire, Arthur Truemner, Railpii
Moritz and .Stuart Dietz.
