Birk of the U. • ' A.C., Guelph, and formerly of Dash- wood, passed`'away at Guelph Genes. • al Hospital on Tuesday December 13, s following a lengthy illness. 'She was gin her 53rd year. s Mrs. Birk who lived in. Guelph • since her marriage 22 years ago, was 4 an active memiber of Chalmers United 1 Church. She was a past president of r A the Hart Auxiliary and the Wardrope Auxiliary of the •c'hureh and for many k years sang in the choir of the church a 1 until ill health forced her to leave. 1 She also •served as a superintendent • 'of the Brooklyn 1Sunday School prim- ary department for several years and at the time of her death was vice- president of the .Chalmers United Church Missionary Association. Born at Dashwood, she moved to Zurich, where she lived until her marriage there to Professor Birk who was on the OAC staff. Her father, the late Joseph Routledge, was a veterin- ary in Zurich.
