Mr and Mr., Roy Oliver of St.
Marys were Sunday visitors at the
home of ,Mrs. Chas 'Weber, also call-
ed on relatives and frienda.
Mus Mary Frances Schultz, of
Niagara Fall.; was a recent visitor called on Zurich friends for a few
at the hone of her grandparents, dear. Elle is remaiksbly smart for a

Attending Teachers' College Mrs Emile Vallee of Bonnyville,

Was Honored --
Mr. Edgar Hoffman 'of the Goshen
Line .South, was honored at a rec-
eption -in the Town Hall, Zurich,
prior to leaving for Brockville where
he will enter the Monastry as a
Redemiptorest Brother. Mr. Hoffman
Was presented with a purse of money
by the Parishoners of St. Boniface
Parish. • A social hour was enjoyed
and luncheon served.
BISHOP TO VISIT ZURICH.
The Bis'hop's fifth annual campaign
fog' itie Diocese of London (The Dioc-
esan Development Drive) will take
place in •St. Boniface Parish, Zurich,
on Sunday, October 2nd. The follow-
ing will conduct this campaign: Rev.
Father Monaghan, Edward Mittle-
holtz, Wilfred Hoffman, Adrian Mid -
den, Richard Hartman, Karl Regler,
Raymond Hartman, Paul Watson,
Gerald Smith, Donald Regier, John
Hartman, Stephen Meidinger, Ray-

Had Trip To Ottawa
A lovely 'buss tens was enpoyed
by 26 stndents, irxcludiig•rheir teach-
er of grade 12 ,plass of the Kitchener
Mennonite High School, who left that
gity last Friday • for their skip as
they •call it, to .see some splendid
slights of ,our capital city of Ottawa.
Maws Gloria Gingerich, only daughter
of Mr and Mrs Jacob Gingerich of tha
Goshen Line south, was among the
students. Needless to c`ay, it being
a. fine outing as well as educational
visiting the important places on their
way home, they attended the service
of Billy Graham, who is holding an
Evangelistic -Campaign in Toronto,
a.nd the trip was much enjoyed by all
Attend Ladies' Aid Rally
Thirty-one ladies and the Pastor
of St. Peter's Lutheran Churcn, Zur-
ich attended the Ladies' Ai& Rally
held on Wednesday, Sept. 21st at
Trinity Lutheran Church in Tavist -
tock. About 350 guests registered at
the Rally, for whish the theme was:
"Preserve and Extend the Church."'
A short meditation was given l,,v the
host pa -tor, Rev. 0. T. C. Stockman
who based .his rnessag.e on the story
of Mary and Martha, "Preserve the
Church" was the subject of tho talk
by MTr's+. Eric Reble of Bridgeport.
Mrs. Donald Stewart of Baden spoke
on "Extend the Church" and Mrs.
Walter Becker of London told us
some personal experiences in extend-
ing thechurch. The mission gift:;
received during the session totalling
$3818.80 were voted to the home Mis-
sion Fund. Supper was served to all
pr.ent in the beautifully decorated
Parish :Hail. Rev. Albert Lotz of
St. Peter's Lutheran Church, I :it:chen-
er, WEIS the guest speaker at the ev-
ening service.

FAIR NITE CONCERT
The Fair Nite Concert held in.
the 4Conninunity Centre, Tuesday ev-
ening was largely attended, and the
program was well received. The two
plays put on by the Young People of
Auburn and Zurich Lutheran Chur-
ches, altho much in •contrast, were
very entertaining. Between the two
playls was the public speaking con-
test in which Martha Corriveau took
first prize, Donna Fisher second and.
third to Sharon Bloch. All did very
well and had interesting subjects,
The Judges were Mrs. G. Koehler,
Miss Becker and Mr. Aubert Kalb-
fleisch.
