HAD RECORD ATTENDANCE
The Western Fair at .London last
week not alone. enjoyed mil -summer
warm weather,, but it also set a new
record in attendance which went over
the 400,000 target for the first time
in its 80 -year history, the total for
the week was 418,460. Record for a
single day' was Thursday when it
was up to 82,384. 'From the pro-
ceeds of this big attendance the Fair
Bcard is cons+idering some extensive
improvements.

Last Thursday evening,. Sept. 15,
1055 friends sof Miss Helene Farwell
(Ibr„de elect) were invited to the re-
,sidence of 'Mrs. Gertrude Datars,
whose home was !beautifully decorat-
ed with florwers and where a miscell-
aneous shower wars held in honor of
Miss Helene Faanvell. Mrs. Keith
Thiel read the presentatioin. IVI•iss
Marion Datars assisted . in opening
the gifts which were on the table be-
side the niely decorated chair where
Helene was asked to take. She thank -
every one who remembered her with
beautiful and useful gifts. Inviting
all to cone to the home of her mother
to see her wedding trouseau display
A grand social time enjoyed along
with delicious luncheon which was
served, Wishing Helene ,much. joy
and bidding earh other adeau, re-
turned to their homes.
