Mr and Mrs Ted Haberer spent
a few days in London the„past; week.
Mr Richard Hartman of Windsor
is spending two weeks vacation with
his mother, M. T Hartman.
Misses Helene Farwell and MVIary
Hagan spent the week -encs with
friends in Detroit,
Mrs. Clare Bedard and child are
spending a few day, with relatives in
Detroit.
Miss Rose Regier spent the week-
end with her parents, Mr and firs.
Fred Regier.
Miss Donna Fisher is spending the
week with her aunt and uncte, Mr
and Mrs. Earl Heywood at Wingham,
lir and Mrs Ray Schilbe and chil-
dren of London were week -encs and
holiday visitors in town with Mr and
Mrs. 1\iilf. Sdhilbe.
Owing to the ,ball game and the
Thiel family reunion there were a
considerable number of people in
town Monday. But it was hot.
Mr and Mrs Herb Kraft of Detroit
and Mr 'and Mrs R. P. Stade of town
returned home after a pleasant motor
trip to Gaspe Peninsula and the New
England States.
Mr and Mrs. Edward Roppez of
Detroit are spending the week with
the former'; .brother. Rev. and 1VIre.

Mr and Mrs William Gibbons and
family of Woodbridge spent the
past week's holidays at the home of
their parents, Mr and Mrs Sylvanus
Witmer of town.
Mr and Mrs. R. C. Williams 'of
New Jer-ev, Mrs. Margaret Scott of
London and Mrs. Edith Ecker of
London, visited at the home of their
cousins, the Williams Family in Zur-
ich.
Miss Joyce Schnell daughter of
Mr and Mrs Edgar Schnell of Cam -
rose, Abl. was a visitor with her
uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs. A. C.
ICal•bfleisch of town. Miss Schnell
is on the Edmonton teaching staff •and
also visited her grandmother, ;Mrs.
Rlbert McBride, and other relatives.
Have Week's Holidays
The stall' and employees of the
Kalbfleisch mills are shut down this
week and observing it as a noliday
week. As in former years, the fire-
man and engineer of the plant, Mr.
Herb Uttley gives the big ;boiler a
cleaning up and whatever repairs are
needed in the power plant arebeing
done. But Heiib advises us that this
year things are in: good shape and he
will be able to enjoy a few days of
vacation with the rest of the employ-
ees, but we really •do miss the sound
of the cold two-tone whistle at twelve
and five o'clock. •

Look at your label. We have cor-
rected our mailing list up to July
25th, and if you have paid your sub-
scription up before that date you
should have credit thereon. And by
the way there are a few on the list
that show considerable in arrears to
that date. The amount is not so large
but it looks big to your publisher. So
give u,s a lift in this heat by encour-
aging us and show your loyolty and
good will to keep this little plant and
