are now drilling at Bayfield. It was
stated the company did nrt intend to
abandon the gas wells at Zurich.
There is a possibility they may be
commercially developed they said.

Cool weather was ushered in or:
Sunday morning to end one of the
hottest ten days that we call re -
memo: of. In fact it was so intense,
that one could hardly find refuge by
day and by night. We had anticipat-
ed that when the weather changes to
cooler, that showers of rain would
replenish the earth, but not so this
time, as the cool breezes just came in
gradually and without any rain which
we so badly need, as lawns, gardens
and farmers pasture fields are suff-
ering for lack of moisture. Farmers
have their hay about all away and are
busy with the cutting of wheat and
other crops are taming along ntcel•y.
The beautiful golden fields oe wheat
truly are the most lovely 'sight to
behold. What a wonderful country
we have the privilege to live 'n.
