Becker Reunion
The annual Becker Reunion was
held at Riverview Park, Exeter, on
Sunday, July 10, with 102 present.

Master Sherry Wein of Exeter has
spent two weeks with his aunts, the
Misses Marie and Pearl waft, also
attending Dashwood Vacation Bible
school at the E.U.B church.
Miss Lois Gaiser of London, spent
the week -end with her mother, Mrs.
Cora Geiser.
Had Successful Picnics
' Dashwood Calvary E.U.B. and
Zion Lutheran churches held their
i picnics recently, the former .at Sea
forth Lions Park and the latter at
Jowett's Grove, Bayfield, with good
lattendances. Sports and refreshm-
ents were much enjoyed.

Late David Schroeder
P!) -...id Schroeder of Dashwood pas-
sed away at South.. Huron Hospital,
Exeter, Monday, July 4th. 19b5, in
his ninety-se"ond year. He had been
in failing health for some time. He is
survived by two daughters, Mts..Ev-
erett Hoist (Sophia), of Daszwood,
and ]tlrs Robert Grace (Laura), of
Florida; one son, Herman of Atlanta,
Mich.; one sister, Mrs: Lydia Pahner
of Saline, 'Mich; two !brothers, `Louis
of S'hiplaa,- and Jacob of Santa Barb-
ara. He was a member of Dashwood•
E.U.B. Church, The body rested at
the Hoffman funeral _home, Dash-
wood, until. Thursday, July 7th when
services were held at 2.30 p.m. con-
ducted by the pastor Rev. Krotz. In-
terment was made in Exeter cemetery

Mrs. J. McCl;-mont of Kippen spent
a few days recently with her daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Mr and ,ars. Jos.
Ducharme, near Dashwood.
Mr. John Doig of Grand Rapids,
Mich., was a visitor with his mother,
Mrs. Lydia Doig and sister, Mis.,
Janet Doig, Kippen.
Had Reunion
The annual Coleman reunion was
held in Jidwett's Grove, Mayfield • on
Saturday, .July. 2nd with about 75
present. Sports were held in the af-
ternoon. During the supper houi.''bus-
iness was conducted by Mrs. A. Fin-
layson wife of the president, who
was absent. It was decided to hold
the 1956 reunion 'at the same place
on the first Saturday in June. One
minute silence was observed in mem-
ory of departed members. Fred Mc-
Clymont was named president, with
Gordon Coleman as 'Tice; Mrs E.
Cameron and 'Mrs W. H. 'Cioleman
were returned as Sea and Treas. re-
spectively.
WMS Meet
Goshen WMS Society met at the
home of Mrs. Roy ;McBride and was
led by prayer by the president, Mrs,
John Armstrong. Mrs Anson McKin-
ley read the scripture. 7'rse program
in the Missionary Monthly was fol-
lowed. Mics Edith Love anti Mrs.
Anson McKinley sang a duet accomp-
anied by Mrs. Melvin Elliott. The
minutes were read and there were
21 members and 2 visitors present.
Mrs. Elgin McKinley gave the birth-
day fund report. A special offering
was taken for the cancer fend. It was
decided to entertain the Baby Band
on the third Thursday in July, on the
church lawn as was so successfully
done last year. The Study Book
chapter on Angola was taken by Mrs
Melvin Elliott

Knox Presbyterian. •church, Goder-
ich, decorated with summer flowers,
was the setting for the wedding on
June 25th of Gretta Joan, daughter
oe Mr and Mrs. Harold Arbour, God-
erich, who became the bride of John
Esher. MecConneil, son of Mr and Mrs
Lee McConnell, Varna. Rev. R. G.
MacMillan officiated. The brrae was
given in marriage by her father and
carried .a white bible crested with an
orchid. The maid of honor was Miss
Joan Menzies, Goderich, and brides-
maid was Miss Barbara McConnell, -
Varna.

The .Bingo held in the Legion Hall
Saturday night 9th, sponsored by the
Legion was well patronized, the jack-
pot which was not won will be $40
for next Saturday night in 58 calls.
Mr and Mrs Wilburt Diking have
purchased a let in the village and
expect to build in the near future,
and will take up residence here.
Mr and Mrs Lester Fisher and
Janet of Blenheim, were visitors with
the former's mother, Mrs. J. Fisher.
- Mr and Mrs Dudley Smith of Ot-
tawa, Mr and Mrs Jack Milne, Bay-
field were recent guests with Mrs.
James Bonthron.
Beverly Beaton, Goderich, who
recently purchased the Vicar bakery,
!commenced business Saturday last,
1 and Mrs. Beaton and family will re-
side in Hensall.
I Mr and Mrs Lee Oesch and family
have taken up residence in Paris,

an appointment on the police force.
Mrs. Mac Greer of London, spent
Monday of this week with her'moth-
er Mrs. J. Bonthron.

Gowned in floor -length Spanish
lace and pleated nylon tulle over
satin, Shirley Lenore Taylor became
the bride of Donald John Mousseau,
in a ,ceremony ,performed by the Rev
H. J. Snell, Exeter. The bride is the
daughter of Mr and Mrs S. 13. Taylor
Exeter, 'and the groom, son or Mr
and Mrs J. Alex Mousseau, Hermit,
Lawrence' Wein provided traditional
wedding music and accompanied the
soloist Mrs. Jeanne Parsons. Mr..
Taylor gave his daughter in anarrl-t
age: The bride attended London
