The Big Week -end
0 With July 1st on Friday, which
It was Canada's ,birthday and followed
• by Decoration Day in the U.S.A. on
Monday, July 1st anode the heaviest
week -end for travelling on the high-
ways, and this 'coupled with one big
• heat wave visiting these parts brought
• out thousands of cars seeking a re-
• fuge from the heat wave. And as we
.yM.
go to ,press it is still hot with no
letup in sight, and we do not Iike
that mercury climbing up in the 90's
as it just is a bit too warm for us
here in this .part of the globe. It
de also made the Highways cluttect with
cars, and people careless in bathing
and boating always takes a big toll
of life, and this year when all sum-
med up will be 'no exception. How-
ever we are living in a fast travell-
ing age and must put up with it all.
