At last, the long- needed rain has
come on Saturday night and Sunday
* all day. Farmers were crying for
• a three day ram for beans and other
• crops; it did not take three days in
this neighborhood to saturate' the
• land, and as a result it will be some
• time before they can get on the Tand

• ag(ain. Farming is like everything
• else, either a feast or a famine.
Not too many resorters took for
the cottages .along the Lake front the
past week -end. The weather was.
not favourable for summer canaping.
Mr and Mrs Louis 'Cantin of Mon -
al have been spending a few days
St. Joscph. The Cantins were
formerly residents of St, Joseph, hut
after their departure they lived in
Windsor for some years, then mov-
ing to Montreal.

The Drysdale Store
We have purchased Stock and Fixtures -of Drys-
dale Store from John Denomy and have added
various lines of Drygoods, such as Prints, Broad-
cloths, Flannelettes, Men's Overalls, Work Shirts,
Jeans, Gloves, etc. Also a line of srnallwares.
We are remodeling the Store and intend to have
Grocery Department arranged for semi self -serve in
the near future.
Mr. Denomy will continue in charge of Store.
