Celebrate .Anniversary Mark 50 Years Mr and Mrs Joseph txetinas of Zurich celebrated their Golden Wed- ding Anniversary on May 23rd. Their marriage was performed at St. Peter's church, Drysdale on May 16, fifty years ago. Rev. Father D. Monaghan celebrated high mass in their honour and two of the altar boys were their grandsons; Mr. Den piss Corriveau of Kinkora and Mr. Joseph Gelinas of London. A family dinner was served at the Community Centre, Zurich, and Mas- ter Leo Dietrich. and Tommy McCann presented them. with a gold purse. They have nine children, Harvey! Claude, Arthur, Mrs. C. Tiede, I (Phoebe), Mrs. G. Tiede (Grace), Mozart of Bayfield, Mrs. C. McCann (Joan), Mrs. Earl Dietrich (Yvonne) Dashwood, and Mrs. D. Corriveau (Meryl), Kinkora; Mr. Claude GeI- inas read the following address: On May 16, 1005 two people joined hands before the altar in +St. Peter's Church, Drysdale: 'Today fifty years later these two same people are celebrating their Golden Wedding Jubilee. More than the two people who were 'witnesses to that marriage are still living. Unfortunately the best mean at the ,wedding, Leo Gelinas of Sask., was unable to be with us. How- ever, we have with us the bridesmaid Mrs. Oscar Ducharme. This is a happy day for us and es- pecially for Mother and Dad. It is a happy day for them for they have been faithful to each 'other and have helped one another through the trials and difficulties of life. 'Today is also a special day of Thanksgiving. A. day to thank God for all the (blessings he has showered upon won the blessing which helped you fifty years ago to start out, mar- riage on the right foot, the blessing of seeing nine children take their places in the world, rearing their families. But today is not only your day -- it is our day too -- your chil- dren and your grandchildren. Yt is our day to thank God for giving us such wonderful :parents. Only now when we are raising our own families do we start to realize the worries you must have had and the sacrifices you must have made for us throughout your lives. We know now that you must have placed your faith in God that we would ,grow up to be good cllnldren.
