attended the funeral of the late
Emily Fuss last week were her ibro-
ther Jacob Wurrm of Seaforth, and
sister, Mrs. Redding Id Detroit.

The Zurich Branch of the Womens'
Institute will hold their monthly
meeting next Tuesday night, May
3rd, in the Town Hall, Zurich. All

To Interview Minister

Friday to interview the 'Minister of
Highways to speed up the rebuilding
and paving of the road from, B.ensall

Daylight Time
• Daylight time was ushered in over
the week -end. Here in Zurich as was
announced it took effect Sunday mid-
night, . so Zurich was on Standard
thne on Sunday, but when .you -went
to other places in the district you
Was just lone hour behind, with the
exception of Grand Bend who they
say will remain on Standard time for
the summer.
Met With Accident
' The other day while Mr. Jerome
Dietrich of the 'Bronson line, Hay,
was getting out of the hay mow in
some way he slipped and fell on the
hard floor below. Medical aid was
called and Mr. Dietrich was rushed
,to St. Joseph's Hospital, London
where it was discovered that the
patient was injured quite badly. We
hope for a speedy recovery.

OBITUARY
Died In Detroit
Mrs. Jacob Oberer, a resident of
Hay Township for the past five years.,
having lived on the farm home of
Mr. Emanuel ,Sararas of the Blue
Water Highway for that length of
time, took ill recently and was rushed
to Detroit where she died in her 65th
year. The body was laid to rest in
that city. Those attending the funer-
al from here were Emanuel and Le-
onard iSararas, Mr and Mrs. Herb.
Desjardine, and Mr and Mrs. Alvin
Wilhelm of Stratford.
Late Mrs. Kate Schade
Mrs. Kate .Schade 85, died Sun-
day, April 24th after a lingering
illness at the home of her daughters
Misses Gertrude and Melvina Schade.
at London, where she had her home.
She lived in Hay Township until her
husband's death in 1923, living on
a farm on the Blue Water ,Ilignway,
a few miles south of St. Joseph. She
was a member of Zurich Evangelical
U. 13. Church
Surviving besides her daughton
are two sons, Ervin, Daslhwood, and
Clarence, .Concession 14, Hay Twp.
The body rested at the Htoffman Fun-
eral Home, Dashwood until 'Tuesday,
when services ,were conducted at 2.30
p.m. by Rev. H. E. Roppel, Zurich.
Burial was in Zurich Bronson line
cemetery.
Late Mrs. Miller
Mary McCann, beloved wife of tiio
late William Miller of Zurich passed
away on April 19th, 1955, after a
lingering illness. She was born on
July 11th, 18'77, and has been a resi-
dent of the ,community for over 50
years, of which time she reAdecl at
Goderich for some years. She was
dear mother of i,VIelvin and Norman
Overholt of R.R. 2, Zurich, Stanley
Township; Lawrence, of Detroit;
Frances, Emerson and Leonard, of

Mrs. Robert Barrie (Mazie) of Tor-
onto; and Mrs. W. B. Conon (Annie)
of Zurich, The remains rested ether
late residence, Zurich, until Friday.
