Mr. George Deichert, Mr. and
Mrs. Jacob. Haberer who enjoyed a
most pleasant trip to Florida, return-
ed Moine last week, much invieorated
by their trip to the sunniy! south.
Mr. and Mrs Ward Fritz motored
to St. Thomas on Friday and' were
aoeomvanlied home with their daugh-
ter Manyf Louise, 'who is attending
Alma College of that ,city. and who
spent the Week -end at her home in
Zurich.

Management) . Ten bushel lots of
Oats averaged $12.97 per bushel with
ten bushel lots of Barley 'bring an av-
erage price of $2.06 per bushel. A
bushel of Larain Oats, Grand Cham-
piom, brought $7.25. 46 contestaits
took part in the Junior Seed Judging
competition.

The meeting of the Parr Line Farm
Forum was held at the home of Mr
and Mrs Jno Soldan with 18 memb-
ers in attendance. The topi•c'tor the
evening being "Education, for Farm-
ing." This Forum Was unanamous
nits discussion that young people
on the farm should have at least • 2
years of high school training.
2. Special agricultural training can
he learned in our high schools. The
farm of to -day being mechanized as
it is demands some training in this
respect. Night schools, short • courses
on agriculture which give basic train-
ing in mechanics, animal husbandry,
good farming methods. 4-H.. Clubs -
help to 'train farm youth ,with their
various projects, it also develops com-
munity leadership.
8 is the High School the place
for agricultural education? We feel
that it is a help to the seudent, esp-
ecially if the student has agriculture
as a future. Higher education is most
desirable but it is known facts that
only 12 per cent. of farm students
graduating froin our colleges return
