T e Neve 'Year
This being the first issue of the
Zurich Herald for the year 1'955,1
Greetings to ail and may it bring an 1
abundance of prosperity, peace and'.
good health during the whole year.
The New Year was ideal, the wea-s
ther was all that could be w=ished for,i
the roads for travelling to and fro;
were good. Homes were filled with':
visitors; children, relatives and fri
ends, who had conne from near 'and',
far to be with their parents, . it ex-,
tend and exchange good wishes. All:.
homes were prepared for the occas-'
ion, It has •a tradition that dates;
back from the early ages, and one
that is celebrated by all .nationalities;•
On that day families gather to get to-,
gether in groups; they snake Merry,:
they bury past grievances, they for-
give one another and they Yet the
past be bygone.
On that day they renew past incid-
ents, they consult one another for
future plans they make new friends
and in all, New Year's Day is a day
that brings tidings of joy and con-
tentment of heart.
It is also 'a day when grits are ex-
changed to once another, and in all it
is a day to bind friendship. During
the Yuletide season if more ramilies
would join together it would teave.an
inspiring example to those who are
leading our countries; those who are
vested with the power of rule, per-
haps from it they would be impressed,
they would change their views and
decisions, and from it more peace
would reign in the world. 'Let ue
have that peace to all nations; bul
first we must remember not to ex:
pect more of the corning year then
we put in; so if you want much, be
sure to contribute your fair share
Iron the beginning .of the year, to
your neighbour and to your God.

In recognition of our Association over the years, our manufacturers
very kindly co-operated to make this 55th Anniversary Sale possible.
At the end of each Season, manufacturers are left with short ends of material,
not enough to use in the next season's range, but enough to make up an excell-
ent group of Suits for such an occasion as this.
Every Suit is tailored to our rigid specifications, with the sane workmanship
that you have enjoyed over the years.
