Miss Donna Merrier of London, was a week -end visitor with her par- ents, Mr and Mrs; Arnold :Merner. Miss Virginia Deichert of tete Exe- ter ter Public School teaching staff,spent the week -end with her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Peter Deichert. Mrs. Harry Cole of Exeter and Mrs. Ed. Hendrick of Crediton, were visitors with their aunt, Miss Louise Hendrick of town one day last week. Mr and Mrs Charley Hay and dau- g'iters visited with relatives near Bluevale on Sunday. Swartz of De- troit spent Saturday with Mrs. Swartz's mother, Mrs. Emily Fuss, who has (been confined to leer room with illness. Mrs. Peter Manson has returned to her home in Exeter after spend- ing several days at the home of her sister, Mr, and Mrs. Roy Lamont of Zurich. Mr and Mrs Jacob Gingerich; Mr and Mrs. Cleve Gingerich a.nca Miss Grace Erb attended the Christmas Number Fantasia and Carols by Charles Dickenson This play was given with six 'scenes by Grade 11, on Friday evening by the Mennonite High School .pupils at the Shepard School, Kitchener. Miss Glorra Gin- gerich, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Jacob IGingerich, who is a student in that school and grade, taking part. MAN SAVED AT HAYFIELD Donald Bert MacAdam, who works with his grandfather, Bert MacDon- ald, at the Goderich waterfront, was pulled out of the cold icy water at Bayfield harbor the other day after he apparently slilpred lana fell in while working there. Capt. MacDon- ald said .that Donald Bert had been working with Department of Public Warks officials making test borings for :sheet piling at the Bayfield pier. 'Seasonable Weather Most lovely winter weather has greeted this part :of Canada the past week. Just enough snow -0W' make the forthcoming Yuletide season a most interesting one. The blanket of snow acts as a nice protection to the more delicate plants from the cold weather which creeps in over nights. Although the snow .snakes the roads a bit slippery, but with a bit of pre- caution one can get along nicely without accidents.
