Frank Fingland of Clinton
HURON CO'S NEW JUDGE
On Dee. and, Justice Minister Hon.
'Stuart Gerson announced arpointria-
ent of Frank Fingland, Q:Ci. or Clin-
ton Huron County Court Judge. He
succeeds the late .Judge T. M. Costello
,of Goderich, who died in a car acci-
dent in October.. Mr, Fingland who is
59, graduated from the University of
Toronto in 1922 with BA degree and
as LLB in 19t25. He practiced Taw in
Toronto before moving to Clinton,
where he was appointed town solicit-
or in 1925. Was active in the Liberal
movement and was unsuccessful sand
idate for Huron riding in the provin-
cial election following World War II.
He is president of the Huron Liberal
Association. Is a native of Hullett
Township, northeast of Clinton and is
married wbh two children. We wish
Mr. Fingland every success as Judge
of the Banner County of Huron.

Hensall Firemen responded to a
fire at 5.30 IVionday morning 6th
which might''have proved very disas-

Zurich Win -11-0.
Last Friday- eve. `Dec. 3, the Zericli
Flyers at Clinton, blanked the Se'-
forth Beavers to the tune of 11-0. It
was Flyers 'all the way, notching five
goals in the first, four in the second
and wound up the game with two in
the third period. Baird and Gigs=
led the scoring with four while D.
Hesse and J. Hayter got two goals
and one assist each. Bill Merrier, !ot
Zurich- led the winners with a seark-
ling performance in the ne+. This
