Miss Meda Surerus of the Toronto
teaching state, has returned to her
duties in that city after visiting with
her brother, Gordon, at the South
Huron .Hospital, Exeter, who is pro-
gressing nicely.
Mrs. Wellington Johnston, and son
Ross, and grandson IBoblbie Johnston,
motored to Rochester, N.Y, where
the former will visit at the Lome of
her daughter, Mr and Mrs. R. Gemm-
ing, for a few weeks.

Thursday is Remembrance Day and
a public Holiday. We shall not forget
the many who gave their lives in the
past wars, so that we may continue
to enjoy the freedom that is ours.
May we all pray for continued peace
and for those who have gone on be-
fore.
Mr and Mrs Ed. Beaver of town,
Mr and IMVIrs Walter Johnston and

of Hayfield, all spent last Sunday
with Mr and Mrs Murray . Brunskill
near IMossley, the other side of Lon-
don.
Better Weather
Better weather conditions seem to
prevail this week, the snow which

Moved Equipment Away
The deep -weld drilling firm of
Stub & Stub have moved their equip-
ment away from these parts to the
Chatham area 'where they wilI be
doing ,similar work this winter. They
are planting of returning in the
spring and drill some. snore wells in
search of what is in the bowels of
the earth in this locality. Thus year
they found gas on two farms, and
who knows, by another year they
may hit oil in substantial quantities.
Women's Institute
The regular meeting of the Zurich
W. I. met on Monday) evening in the
town hall with a fairly good attend-
ance, The •(president, Mrs. Lerina
Rose taking 'charge of the business.
Reports of the last meeting minutes
were read by Mrs. Newell Geiger, in
the absence of Mrs, Wm. Forrester,
treasurer, report was also given. Roll
call was answered .by "Ways How to
Raise Money." Committee for 'the
Christmas meeting will be held the
third Thursday evening in December

Mrs. L. Rose, this was well given and
was .educatiinal. Mr's. T. Meyers
read "Flanders Field." The meeting
closed with "The Queen.'° refresh-
ments .were served Ib1y, Mrs. Meyers,
and Mrs Wan. Hay. Contests by Mrs.
Milton McAdams were given with
prizes. The evening ticked away too
fast with a sincere Good Night; all
left for their homes.
