visiting at the home of her Aunt and

Mrs. Mary Brenner and son Clar-
ence motored to Milverton on Sunday
to •enjoy the day at the home -of the
former's sister Mrs. Elizabeth Sch-

Mr and Mrs' J. J. Schwartz nave
returned to their home in Detroit,
after spending two weeks with the
latter's mother, Mrs. Emily Fuss,
Mr and Mrs. H. W. Brokensh.ire
and Allen; Mr and Mrs Allb. Kalb-
iieisch spent a day at London Fair
last week
Mrs. Fanny Clarke of Windsor is
a visitor .with her relatives the Gas-
cho family here and at Grand Bend
for a few days.

• M'r and Mrs Wilfred Kaltbfleisch of
Tampa, Florida have been camping
at the Lake for a few weeks, and
during that time have 'been visiting
with relatives, the Kallbifleisch relat-
ives in town.
Mr and Mrs Wen. Reichert and
daughter, Mr and Mrs. Ernest Laid, -
law, who were on a motor trip to the
Western Provinces returned home on
Sunday last, having had a most en-
joyable trip. They visited with Mr.
Laidlaw's parents, as well as other
friends.

Sept. 29-30. The old show' house has
been moved to the back of the gro-
unds, and one-third of it made into
e building for the showing of poultry
and pets. The larger part will be us-
ed as live -stook building. The new
Community Arena is being used for
the inside exhibits.
Miss Mary Lou Fritz, who is atten-
ding Alma College, at St. Thomas,
was a week -end visitor at the home
of her parents, Mr and Mrs. Ward
Fritz, also enjoyed Sunday with the
family at the home of her grand-
father, Mr. Herbert K. Eilber, Cred-
iton.
Mr. and Mrs 'Ih!anias Diller of
near Toronto, spent several clays over
the week -end at the home of the
latter's sister, !Mr and Mrc William
O'Brien. Misses Alma and Elizabeth
Smith of Toronto; Mr and Mrs. Jos-
iah 'Steckley, Bronson Line, Stanley,
were Sunday dinner guests with Mr
and Mrs. Wm. O'Brien,
is At Hospital
Mrs. Henry Fleulbard had a small
bone fractured in her left ankle on
Monday fore -noon, when she tripped
in their back• yard. [Medical aid was
given and she was taken to South
Huron Hospital, Exeter. • We wish
her a speedy recovery.
Attended Convention
A bus load of members of the W.
M.S. of the Evangelical U. B. Church
of this district attended the conven
tion at Rodney Evang. Church, on
Tuesday. The conveyance was made
possible by Uhe Exeter Coach Lines
Transportation.
Storm Followed
When Mr and iMrs James Hackett
and Misses .Norma Steinback and
Carol Thiel, while on their homeward
journey through the State of .Maine,
the big storm that visited that part
Of the !country, arrived the following
day. I -Tow thankful one should be
to be able to avoid the:,e terrible
storms wherever they are, :and to ar-
rive safe home at all times.
