Mr and Mrs Henry WikIs and family, formerly ofGrand Bend, moved on Saturday last in Mr. Max Geoffrey's house on the 15th Con. We welcome them to our community We are nearing the end of vacat- ion for the year. That was noticeable the past week -end; fewer cars were on this Blue Water Highway, due perhaps to disagreeable weather or perhaps to disturbance in the em- ployment program, that which adds greatly for when money is scarce among the laborers; it cuts clown commercial trade tb a low ebb. then money tightens up with alt crosses. This is not intended to be an accurate prediction, it is only as we see'tihings. We read in the paper last week that the publishers of the Herald are taking off a week in early September for their annual vacation. There are no one 'connected with (business who dlosen't deserve a ,break once a year in the open air than publishers do; after .being on the tick, tack for a 'year, putting articles ' together on his .paper trying to avoid mistakes. Which could at times be a grrevance to his readers, or perhaps be displeas- ing to them; all that summed to- gether forms a tedious task on an Editor. And there are no better ways for him and his staff to get out and forget home litfe;; so with this in mind we wish you a pleasant :noitday; safe return, and much benefit receiv- ed from it.
