Birk and cousin Peurl Fournier who are leav- ing, for their homes. Mr and Mrs John Albrecht were Sunday visitors at the home of their daughter, Mr and Mrs Charles Scot- chmer near Bayfield. A birthday party was held in honor of Mr. Al- brecht and his granddaughter, Ruth Anna Scotohmer in the Bayfield -Park. A most lovely time was enjoyed. The Goshen line south is neing paved by the County of Huron for the first mile and a quarter, which will be a start on having some of this kind of roadbed in Hay Township. If the entire five miles to Serapta Cor- ners were completed it would greatly relieve the heavy traffic to Hensall„ on the Highway. Farmers are busy with the big season's crops. Haying is about done, and the wheat crop, which rs indeed a beautiful sight, is coming along niicely and will be ready to be cut in a few of these hot days, ,sonie has already been cut. A good shower of rain is badly needed. for the grass and hoe crops. We hope it wilt come along one of these days. Injured When Car Hits Ditch Miss Kathleen Hess (Reg. Nurse) daughter of Mr and Mrs Albert G. Hess, Zurich, received a broken right leg above the ankle, cuts on the right arin, 'when she Was a passenger in a car on their way to London one day last week and met with a car accid- ent. The other passengers were un- injured. Provincial Constable Larry Marshall, who investigated, said the car went into the right ditch and struck a culvert when a southbound truck ahead of it, slowed for n 'left turn.
