Died Near Dashwood
Edmund Maier passed away sud-
denly at his residence on Monday,
May 17th in his 60th year. Althongli
not enjoying the best of health he
Was about the farm that day. He
farmed and did trucking. Beside.,
his Wife, the former Maria Burmeis-
ter, he is survived by 8 daughters
and ,two sons. One son Harold was
kilted in action in World War No. 2,
One sister,• Mrs. Albert Morenz, of
Grand Bend. Also two brothers. Res-
ting at ,the Hoffman funeral home,
Dashwood pending funeral arrange-
ments.

On Friday last this parish was
shocked and as well grieved to at-
tend the funeral of the late Mrs.
Jerome Bedard, nee Marie Therese
Cantin, a native of St. Joseph. Marie
Therese was in her 21st year and
was married on .September 6th, 1952
to Jerome Bedard, a one time resi-
dent of the parish. After them mar-
riage the young couple moved to

The Huron Waves -- executive met
at the home of Mrs. Ervin Racier
Friday to plan their annual plcnic.
Ladies were present from Exeter,
Zurich, Medford' and Dash+wood.The
picnic is to be held July 211st at
Grand Bend. The shut-ins are to be
remembered again. Mrs. J. Hamilton
and Mrs E. Wight of Thedford are
in charge of this. The president,
Mrs. Harold Thiel and Secy, Mrs.
Bryce Mack reported on the lovely
time they had as guests of the free
