wood was a .business visitor in town
on Tuesday.
Mr. Roy Weber of London, was a

now visited with her daughter, Mrs.
Menno Oesch on !Saturday.
Miss Barbara Denomme of Detroit
is spending some time with her grand-
mother here, 'Mrs. D. Ducharme,
her brother Earl of Detroit brought
her over .on Tuesday.
Mrs. J. Brenner has returned to
•her home un town, after spending a
few months with her children in Kit-
chener and Waterloo.
Mr. Ivan L. Kalbfleisch spent sev-
eral days .at Toronto recently, at-
tending the Ontario Retail Lumber
Dealers' Convention, which was held.
at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto.
Rev. Leonard W. Schnell of Sat,k-
atoon, Sask., District Secretary in
North Saskatchewan for the British
and Foreign Bible Society, was a vis-
itor at the •home of his uncle and
aunt, IMr and Mrs. A. C. Kalbfleisch
of town, last week.
P. 2. Jack L. O'Brien of the Royal
Canadian Naval Air Station, Halifax,
arrived in Zurich, to attend the fun-
eral of his father, Mr. Lennis O'-
Brien, held this Wednesday after-
noon from the Westlake Funeral
Hosie, Zurich.
Mrs. David Ducharme has returned
home after spending the winter
months at the homes of her children
in Windsor, Detroit and Ailsa Craig.
She was .accompanied here trey mer
daughter, Mr -and Mrs Cullen Russell
and family of Ailsa Craig.

Mrs. John Etue of the BIue Water
Highway, north of Drysdale has re-
turned to her farm home, after spen-
ding very pleasant winter months
with her children in Detroit. • Sorry
to report that her •daughter Mrs.
Perrie 'ilanguay of that city, is still
quite ill. •
Wintry weather has again visited
these parts • and the nights really
tightning up with frost. The snow
whioh fell Monday, has pretty well
disappeared with the sunshine, but
there still are some hard old banks
around town which seem hard and
'stubborn to melt up.
Mr and Mrs. Wm. Hunt, of Sunset
Park, North Bay, pleasantly surpris-
ed her cousin, Mrs. Menno Oesch on
Saturday. This was the first time
these cousins have met and it was a
very happy occasion. Mrs, Oesch
returned with them to Lucknow and

spending a week with the former's
parents, Mr and Mrs. N. E. Cook.
Mrs. L. Simpson who has been va-
cationing in Pheonix, Arizona, has
returned home.
' Miss Eleanor Cook, who is at-
tending Western University, spent
'the week end with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. N. E. Cook.
Mrs. Wm. Boa, who lives south of
Ilensall on No. 4 Highway, is report-
ed recovering at Victoria Hospital,
London, after an unusual mishap,The
elderly woman's hip broke while she
was standing beside a table and ;:he
collapsed on the floor of her hone.
